     Lydia Trafton was born on 22 March 1832 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick. She was the daughter of Adolphus Trafton and Freelove Clarke. Lydia Trafton married Charles Hepburn, son of Alexander Hepburn and Mabel Belding, on 6 July 1854 at Saint John Co, New Brunswick; m. Thursday afternoon by Rev Samuel Robinson, Charles Hepburn to Lydia, only daughter of Adolphus Trafton, all of Lancaster Parish.1,2 Lydia Trafton died on 26 January 1904 at 14 Edward Street, Medford, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts, at age 71; Lydia died of pulmonary consumption, and had been attended by Dr. S.A. Davis of Boston from Jan 18-26, 1904.3,4 She was buried on 29 January 1904 at Mount Hope Cemetery, Dorchester, Suffolk Co, Massachusetts.3,5
     She appeared on the census of 8 June 1900 at Charlestown, Suffolk Co, Massachusetts; Lydia was living with many of her children. She had been married 46 yrs and had 10 children 9 still living.6
