     Ansegisel was born circa 602 at Austrasia.2 He was the son of Arnulf of Metz and (?) Doda. Ansegisel married Saint Begga of Landen, daughter of Pepin I of Landen and Itta of Schelde, after 639.2 Ansegisel died before 679; He was slain in a feud by his enemy Gundewin.2
