Eber Edward Tallman
Eber Edward Tallman, age 75, of Blanche Road, Merrill, died Monday, Nov. 27, 2000, at CVPH Medical Center following a long illness.
Born Jan. 16, 1925, in Lyon Mountain, he was the son of Alexander and Mary (Tatro) Tallman.
On July 4, 1942, he married the former Yvonne Bruso.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years; a son and daughter-in-law, John and Sylvia Tallman of El Paso, Texas; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Laurelie Tallman and her companion Jim LaMountain of Lyon Mountain, Sarah and Edwin McDonald of Greenville, Judith Tallman of Chester, Conn., and Marie and Daniel Hooghouse of Apopka, Fla.; one brother and sister-in-law, George and Kathy Tallman of Roswell, N.M.; seven grandchildren, Matthew McDonald, Lori, Karen and Amy Green, Sandra Tallman and Mechelle and Holly Hooghouse; and many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his parents; a daughter, Lisa; a grandson, David; three brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Tallman was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Chateaugay Seventh Day Adventist Church.
By his request there will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held on Friday, Dec. 1st, at 10 a.m. at the Seventh Day Adventist Church at the Forge in Brainardsville. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are with the Chateaugay Funeral Home.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Ellenburg Center Volunteer Fire Deptartment, the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center or the Chateaugay Seventh Day Adventist Church.
