Last Rites for Mrs. John Atkinson
Funeral Services for Mrs. Hester Atkinson were conducted Sat. afternoon at 2 o'clock by Rev, J.J. Parish from the Methodist Church and the remains were lasid to rest beside those of her husband in Birchwood Cemetery.. The pallbearers were J.D. Bogle, D.W. Schofield, Chas. Beechel, John D. Wilcox, Knut Sandberg And Erick Sandberg.
Mrs. Hester Ann Atlinson was born 7/17/1853 at N. Burke, NY, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Percy. She grew to womanhood theer and on June 14, 1874, she was united in marriage to John Atkinson. They resided in Que. until 1878 and then moved to Iowa where they made their home until 1898 when they came to Pine City, Minnesota.
Mrs. Atkinson had made her home with her daughter the past two years. She is survived by one son, Charles Percy Atkinson and one daughter, Mrs. Wooden of N. St. Paul, MN. Mrs. Atkinson passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Geo. Wooden in N. St. Paul, MN last Thurs. morning, Sept. 29, at the age of 79 years, 2 mos, and 12 days. Her last illness was about 26 days.
