     Paul Pépin was baptized on 7 July 1679 at L'Islet, Quebec; His sister, Elisabeth Pepin, was present at his baptism, along with his parents and Louis Couillard, son of Lespinay.1 He was born on 7 July 1679 at Ile Aux Grues, Quebec.1 He was the son of Antoine Pépin dit Lachance and Marie Teste.1
