Philip Derick was born in 1753 at Siegen, Westerwald, Germany.1 He was the son of Coonradt Derick and Elisabetha Catherina Müller. Philip Derick married Anna Maria Brust, daughter of Johannes Jacob Brust and Anna Katherina Wolff, circa 1773. Philip Derick died on 3 August 1825 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.2 He was buried on 4 August 1825 at 3rd Concession Cemetery, Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.3,2
In 1786, Claim was made for Philip Dirick[sic] of Caldwell's Manor for a farm and horses.4 Philip and his wife, Mary, were listed as guests of Enoch Salls on 8 Feb 1824 at Caldwell's Manor, with ages given as 77 and 71. If this is correct, it would have his birth as 1747, not 1753. However, Anna Maria's birthdate matches.5
