John Lucas was born circa 1790 at Quebec; He was born in Quebec, named his firstborn daughter Esther, a later son Daniel, and a son John Amos (which gives rise to the question as to whether this is actually Amos Lucas, bapt 1803).2,1 He was the son of Daniel Lucas and Esther Scott.1 John Lucas married Eliza Harris before 1821.1 John Lucas died on 22 January 1874 at North Dorchester, Middlesex Co, Ontario; Informant was his brother, Daniel Lucas.2,1
