William Henry Kirtland

     William Henry Kirtland was born on 11 February 1791; William Henry Kirtland may have been born in Granville, NNew York, the son of John Kirtland and wife Lucy Burbank. However a family history indicates this William Henry, b. 11 Feb 1791, d. in 1821.¹ He was the son of John Kirtland and Lucy Burbank. William Henry Kirtland married Mary Salls, daughter of Enoch Salls and Rebecca Filer, on 11 May 1820 at Frelighsburg, Missisquoi Co, Quebec; They were both residents of Caldwell's Manor.² William Henry Kirtland was baptized on 17 January 1826 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.³ He died on 4 February 1845 at Plattsburgh, Clinton Co, New York, at age 53.⁴ He was buried at Riverside Cemetery, Plattsburgh, Clinton Co, New York.⁴
     He witnessed the death of Elizabeth Crawford on 10 April 1821 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.³ William Henry Kirtland witnessed the marriage of Henry Salls and Lydia Branch on 19 September 1824 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.³
