     Hiram Allen was born in February 1842.1 He married Mahala Tallman, daughter of Joseph Tallman and Hannah (?). Hiram Allen died on 8 October 1923 at age 81.1 He was buried at Riverside Cemetery, Wadhams, Essex Co, New York.1
     He appeared on the census of 1880 at Moriah, Essex Co, New York; Hiram Allen, 38, Mahala, 40, Seymour, 13, Almon, 11, Hattie, 8, Solomon, 6 and Arthur, 2.2
