     Edwin Ruthven Evans was born on 3 March 1881 at Wisconsin.2,1 He married Marguerite Salls, daughter of Joseph Ami Salls and Almeda Josephine Oakes, on 13 July 1927 at Pueblo, Pueblo Co, Colorado.1 Edwin Ruthven Evans died on 22 July 1946 at Radnor, Delaware Co, Pennsylvania, at age 65.2 He was buried at Greenwood Cemetery, Brodhead, Rock Co, Wisconsin.3
     He appeared on the census of 1940 at Knight, Vanderburgh Co, Indiana; Edwin R. Evans, 59, and Marguerite L. Evans, 52. It is inferred that in 1935 they had been living in Phoenix, Arizona.4
