     John Hammond married Mary Arnold.2 John Hammond was born on 22 November 1663; John was lieutenant in command of the military company at Rochester; served three years as Selectman and Assessor; was a member of the Massachusetts Assembly for two years, and held a commission as justice of the peace.1,2 He was the son of Benjamin Hammond and Mary Vincent.1 John Hammond died on 19 April 1749 at age 85.1
