     Harry B. Amsden was born on 17 August 1868 at Grafton, Windham Co, Vermont.1,2 He was the son of Leroy C. Amsden and Jean Scott Forrester. Harry B. Amsden married Elizabeth Anna Salls, daughter of Merritt Alonzo Salls and Lydia Maria Young, on 14 October 1889 at Clinton, Worcester Co, Massachusetts.3,4 Harry B. Amsden died on 1 June 1918 at Gilford, Belknap Co, New Hampshire, at age 49; The Scott Bible lists his death as 31 May 1918. His death certificate says he had septicemia for 10 days. Andrew Amsden had heard from family he died of typhoid fever, so the septicemia could be a complication of that.1,5 He was buried on 4 June 1918 at Bayside Cemetery, Laconia, Belknap Co, New Hampshire.6
     He appeared on the census of 21 April 1910 at Cambridge, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts; Harry B. Amsden, 41, b. VT, wife Elizabeth A. 41, b. NY and son Ralph, 14, b. NH, were lodgers in the home of Nathaniel Harding. Harry and Elizabeth had been married 20 years.2
