     Charles Augustus Jackson was born on 4 March 1878 at Clarington, Monroe Co, Ohio.2 He married Elizabeth Anna Salls, daughter of Merritt Alonzo Salls and Lydia Maria Young, on 17 October 1927 at Nashua, Hillsborough Co, New Hampshire; Charles Jackson was 48, and a merchant of New Smyrna, Florida. He had previously been divorced, while Elizabeth had been widowed. She was then 54, residing in Laconia and a hotel proprietress. They were married by Rev. Rodney W. Roundy of Laconia.1 Charles Augustus Jackson died after 1943.3
