Smith married Dana Newton on 24 August 1802 at Barre, Worcester Co, Massachusetts.2,3 Miriam B. Smith died on 25 February 1856 at Worcester, Worcester Co, Massachusetts, at age 75.4 She was buried at Worcester Rural Cemetery, Worcester, Worcester Co, Massachusetts; Her stone reads she was born 1780.5
     She appeared on the census of 19 August 1850 at Worcester, Worcester Co, Massachusetts; Miriam Newton, 70, Almira, 26, and Alvira, 26.6
