Miranda M. Williams was born on 3 June 1834 at Alburgh, Grand Isle Co, Vermont.1,2 She married John Riley Covey, son of John M. Covey and Jennett Curry, on 20 November 1854 at Alburgh, Grand Isle Co, Vermont. Miranda M. Williams died on 28 March 1914 at Howard Co, Iowa, at age 79; She had four children, Mrs. John Brown of Cresco, Iowa, Mrs. Charles Brown, and Mrs. Henry Boughner, both deceased, and Mrs. George Tillson, San Diego, CA.1 She was buried at New Oregon Cemetery, Cresco, Howard Co, Iowa.1
She appeared on the census of 1900 at Vernon Springs, Howard Co, Iowa; Mirandy Covey, mo-in-law, 65, was living with her son-in-law John Brown and her daughter Hattie. Miranda was listed as having had four children, with three living.3
