     Christian Smarup married Belinda B. Covey, daughter of Charles Wesley Covey and Sarah Lydia Morrison. Christian Smarup was born circa 1864 at Thisted, Denmark; Christian Smarup, 56, Belinda C., 45, Martin, 24, Lauren C., 21, Willis A., 17., and Florence N., 9. Christian had immigrated about "1883" and they were renting their home.1,2 He died in October 1950 at Schenectady, Schenectady Co, New York; Christian came to the US at 16, and he operated a grocery store in Amsterdam before farming in Montgomery County, until his retirement in 1942. He resided in Schenectady for three years prior to his death.2 He was buried at Fairview Cemetery, Amsterdam, Montgomery Co, New York.2
