James Porcheron

     James Porcheron was born in October 1850 at Quebec.1 He married Elizabeth Tallman, daughter of Dexter Tallman and Hannah Jeandreau, on 1 January 1873 at Mooers, Clinton Co, New York; They were married at the home of Capt. E.M. Fitch by Rev. A. Hemenway. James was a resident of "St. Chrysostem, P.Q."2,3 James Porcheron died after 1900.3
     He appeared on the census of 11 June 1900 at Malone, Franklin Co, New York; James Porcheron, 49, b. Canada, Elizabeth, 44, b. NY, had been married 25 years, had three children, but none presently living. In their household was Hannah Tallman, his mother-in-law, 89 years, and widowed. She had 11 children, but 7 living.1 As of 1922, James Porcheron was also known as James Purcheron.
