Hannah Hawley was born circa 1730. She married Isaac Salls circa 1749. Hannah Hawley died at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.
The wife of Isaac Salls was only known as Hannah from Salisbury records, but her full name was finally located within a land record recorded within the files of Leon Lalanne dated 27 July 1824. On that date, Abraham Salls and brother Jacob Salls sold land to Enock(sic) Salls. The record mentions "right of succession" and specifies "Isaac Salls and Hannah Hawley, their parents, late of Noyan aforesaid, both deceased."
Just how Hannah tied in to the Hawley family is another quest. This writer sincerely believes she ties into Matthew Hawey, b. 1713, possibly sister. He was of New Milford, CT, and died in Canaan, NY about 1800. He was s/o Ephraim Hawley and Phebe Curtis. NO EVIDENCE points to this, it is merely conjecture on my part.1,2
