     Schuyler Brooks was born on 17 December 1812 at Vermont.1,2 He married Hannah Tallman, daughter of Humphrey Tallman and Sarah Alexander, before 1835 at New York. Schuyler Brooks married Betsy Edgerton after 1855 at New York. Schuyler Brooks died on 9 March 1903 at Newfield, Oceana Co, Michigan, at age 90.3,1 He was buried at West Hesperia Cemetery, Hesperia, Oceana Co, Michigan.1
     He appeared on the census of 1850 at Mooers, Clinton Co, New York; Schuyler Brooks, 37, b. VT, Hannah, 35, James, 15, both b. Canada; Sarah, 11, Henry, 9, Silas, 4, Mary, 1, all b. NY. Sarah Tallman, 74, b. NY, was also living with them.4
