Russell Jennings Patterson

     Russell Jennings Patterson was born on 3 March 1881 at Hartford, Hartford Co, Connecticut.¹ He was the son of William Gillies Patterson and Rachel Campbell Kerr Howard. Russell Jennings Patterson died on 10 August 1950 at Caddo Parsh, Louisiana, at age 69; Russell was killed in a car accident in Shreveport, Louisiana. His wife was of Overton, Texas at the time of his death. He was in the oil business in Overton.² He was buried at Oak Hill Cemetery, Atmore, Escambia Co, Alabama.
     On an unknown date , Russell registered for the draft while a resident of Salt Creek, Natrona Co, Wyoming. He also gave his birth at that time as 3 March 1881, and was the Manager of a boarding house. He listed his nearest relative as Mrs. Gertrude Patterson of Moorcroft Crook, Wyoming.³
