     John Howard Washburn was born on 16 February 1866 at St Martins, Saint John Co, New Brunswick.1,2 He was the son of Reverend Abel Henry Washburn and Patience Amelia Howard. John Howard Washburn married Lulu H. Mcclelland on 13 April 1894 at Des Moines, Polk Co, Iowa.3 John Howard Washburn died on 9 May 1920 at Baker City, Baker Co, Oregon, at age 54.4
