     Sarah Elizabeth Salls was born in September 1846 at New York; The 1900 census indicates Sarah was born in Quebec, and had 4 children, 2 still living.1,2 She was the daughter of James Salls and Maria M. Tryon. Sarah Elizabeth Salls married Alpheus Brown before 1863 at New York.3 Sarah Elizabeth Salls married William H. Platt before 1872 at St Lawrence Co, New York; "Brushton, April 14 [1891] - Mrs. William Platt and son of Patterson [sic], N.J. are visiting her sister, Mrs. P. Dewey."4 Sarah Elizabeth Salls married A. F. Flint after April 1891. Sarah Elizabeth Salls died on 12 September 1907 at New Jersey.5,6 She was buried at Sunnyside Cemetery, Brushton, Franklin Co, New York.5
     As of 7 July 1860, Sarah Elizabeth Salls was also known as Elizabeth Sauls.7
     The local newspaper wrote that "Mrs. William Platt and son of Patterson [sic], NJ, are visiting her sister, Mrs. P. Dewey."8 She appeared on the census of 1900 at Paterson, Passaic Co, New Jersey; William Teufel, 30, b. PA, Nellie, 28, b. NY, Mable, 7, Violet M., 2, Lizzie Flint, mother, 53, widowed, b. Canada Fr Sept 1846, had 4 children, 2 living.2
