John William Cloer

     John William Cloer was born on 14 July 1855 at Iredell Co, North Carolina.¹ He was the son of Thomas M. Cloer and Sarah Addie Vaughn. John William Cloer married Mary E. Clodfelter, daughter of John Clodfelter, on 5 December 1878 at Iredell Co, North Carolina. John William Cloer died on 20 August 1925 at Taylorsville, Alexander Co, North Carolina, at age 70.¹ He was buried on 21 August 1925 at Taylorsville Cemetery, Taylorsville, Alexander Co, North Carolina.¹
     He appeared on the census of 1880 at Coddle Creek, Iredell Co, North Carolina; John Cloer, and wife Mary, living with son Jay, then 8 months old. John's brother Calvin, then 15, was living with them.
