     James McCoy Sharpe was born in May 1880 at Sharpsburg, Iredell Co, North Carolina. He was the son of William Paley Sharpe and Mary Ann Cloer. James McCoy Sharpe died before 1910; According to the 1910 census for Bethany, Iredell County, William Paley & Mary Sharpe had a total of 6 children, with only 5 then living. James McCoy Sharpe had to have died before 1910, as the other 5 children are accounted for.1
