     Luther Clyde Sharpe was born on 23 April 1928 at Statesville, Iredell Co, North Carolina.1,2 He was the son of Luther Clyde Sharpe and Clara Frances Troutman.1 Luther Clyde Sharpe married Jane C. Minter at California. Luther Clyde Sharpe and Jane C. Minter were divorced in August 1972 at Orange Co, California.3 Luther Clyde Sharpe died on 30 July 1980 at Newport Beach, Orange Co, California, at age 52; Luke had been at work when he collapsed while working outside the third floor of an office building, installing a pane of glass. Fellow workers had indicated they heard him scream and fell back into the basket of the lift.4
     As of 1930, Luther Clyde Sharpe was also known as L.C. Sharpe.1
