Samuel Belding was born on 25 July 1689 at Wethersfield, Hartford Co, Connecticut. He was the son of Samuel Belding and Hannah Hendee. Samuel Belding married Mary Spencer, daughter of Nathaniel Spencer and Lydia Bailey, on 10 April 1712 at Wethersfield, Hartford Co, Connecticut; They were married by James Wells, JP. Samuel Belding died on 31 July 1771 at Hartford Co, Connecticutt, at age 82. He was buried at Center Cemetery, Rocky Hill, Hartford Co, Connecticutt.
He left a will on 1 February 1765 at Wethersfield, Hartford Co, Connecticut.1 The distribution of the estate of Samuel Belding names his widow, Hannah. At this time, I have not yet identified her. Other heirs named were his eldest son, Samuel, Jared, Nathaniel, Asa, heirs of Daniel: Richard and Phinehas, sons; Lydia Gustin, Mary Curtis, Ann Montague, Dorothy Kibbe, and Esther Collins, Daughters.2
