John Scott was born on 1 April 1824 at Farnham, Missisquoi Co, Quebec. He was the son of Richard Scott and Mercy Healey. John Scott was baptized on 13 May 1847 at Farnham Anglican Church, Farnham, Missisquoi Co, Quebec. He married Rachel Johnson, daughter of William Johnson and Sarah ? (?), on 30 December 1847 at Farnham, Missisquoi Co, Quebec; Farnham Anglican Church. John Scott died on 22 June 1869 at Trowbridge, Allegan Co, Michigan, at age 45.1 He was buried at Trowbridge Methodist Cemetery, Trowbridge, Allegan Co, Michigan.1
