     Abraham Truax was born circa 1782 at New York.1 He was the son of Abrahan Truax and Elizabeth VanAntwerp. Abraham Truax was baptized on 16 June 1782 at Schenectady, Schenectady Co, New York.1 He married Nancy Jane Scott, daughter of John Scott and Dorcus Freeman, before 1807. Abraham Truax died on 28 March 1849 at Mersea, Essex Co, Ontario.
     He appeared on the census of 1825 at Farnham, Bedford District, Quebec; Abraham Truax, with a total of 9 for his family.2
