     William I of Provence married Arsenda of Comminges. William I of Provence was born circa 950.1 He married Adelaide of Anjou, daughter of Fulk II and Gerberge du Maine, in 984.2 William I of Provence died after 29 August 993 at Avignon; William had donated land to Cluny and retired to become a monk.1 He was buried at Church of Saint-Croix, Sarrians.1
