     Sarah Wood was born on 27 March 1789 at Cornwallis, Kings Co, Nova Scotia.1 She was the daughter of Ephraim Wood and Mary Wescott. Sarah Wood married Caleb Clarke Burgess before 1816 at Kings Co, Nova Scotia. Sarah Wood died on 5 August 1866 at South Rawdon, Hants Co, Nova Scotia, at age 77; "On Sunday before last, an old lady, Mrs. Sarah Burgess, died in Suth Rawdon who had been mother of 14 children, and had 85 grand children Living, and 22 great grand children."2 She was buried at South Rawdon Baptist Church, South Rawdon, Hants Co, Nova Scotia.3
