     John Tryon was born circa 1858 at Essex Co, New York; info from 1865 census Westport, Essex Co, NY. He was the son of Joseph Tryon and Sarah J. James. John Tryon has also be reported to have been born June 1861 New York.1 He married Annie Stanford on 13 January 1914 at Port Henry, Essex Co, New York.2,3 John Tryon died on 8 June 1937 at Essex Co, New York.4
     He appeared on the census of 1870 at Burlington, Chittenden Co, Vermont; John Tryon, aged 22, born Canada was a RR worker and living with other boarders in the house of Joseph Gray.5 He lived in 1902 at Westport, Essex Co, New York; His mother's obituary said he was then of Meigsville, town of Westport. He appeared on the census of 9 May 1910 at Ledge Hill Road, Westport, Essex Co, New York; John Tryon, aged 57, had with him "sister" Celia Daniels, aged 61.6
