     Anna Bullis was born circa 1788. She was the daughter of Joseph Bullis and Lydia Johnson. Anna Bullis married David Tryon, son of Daniel Tryon and Ellenor Vaughan, between 1819 and 1827; Anna was named as his wife in David's pension records. We know that on 11 Nov 1827, William Tryon, then of Hinchenbrooke, Quebec, sold land in Sabrevois to Joshua Bullis, Anna's son. Anne was still "Bullos" on her son Morey's baptism in 1819.1 Anna Bullis died on 25 October 1863 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.2 She was buried on 26 October 1863.
     She appeared on the census of 1851 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec; Anna Tryon, b. US, Episcopalian, 63, widow, was living with son Joshua Bullis, 42, his wife Mary, b. England, 33 and children. The head of the household was Mary's father, William Andrew, b. England, 63, widower.3 She appeared on the census of 1861 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec; Anne Tryon, matron, b. USA, 71, was living with her son, Joshua, 53, b. Quebec, widower, and his children.4
