Robert Andrews married Elizabeth (?) Robert Andrews was born circa 1593 at England.2 He died in 1643 at Ipswich, Essex Co, Massachusetts.1
Capt Robert Andrews came from Norwich, Norfolk Co, England, early in 1635. He was a Freeman on 6 May. Sources that indicate he was the owner and master of the ship "Gabriel Angel" are incorrect. Robert Anderson has indicated in the Great Migration Project that Robert Andrews was in Ipswich before the ship ever left England on 4 June 1635.
He was the first tavern keeper in Ipswich (1635): "The White Horse".
The town of Ipswich granted him land in January 1637/8 and in 1637 he was granted one hundred acres in Chewbacca (Mass).2,3 He left a will on 1 March 1643 at Ipswich, Essex Co, Massachusetts; Robert Andrews' Will names his wife, Elizabeth, and his sons, John and Thomas, along with his grandchildren, Elizabeth Franklyn and Daniel Hovey. His son John was still a minor and he named Thomas Howlett as his guardian.3
