Henry William Patterson

     Henry William Patterson was born on 21 February 1824 at Quebec; The year may have actually been 1821, but that late baptism had 1824.¹ He was the son of Henry Patterson and Nancy Hoose. Henry William Patterson was baptized on 29 April 1841 at Episcopal Church, Russelltown, Huntingdon Co, Quebec; His father Henry is listed as a shoemaker, and resident of Russelltown. The witnesses were Pete Row and Harmon J. Vaughan.¹ He married Lura Almina Phillips. Henry William Patterson died on 28 May 1913 at Essex, Chittenden Co, Vermont, at age 89; His children were all named in the Estate file dated 30 Jan 1914: Jed of Milton, Signor or Cambridge, Levi, of unknown, Charles of Fairfield, Burt of Rutland, Dora Laree of Underhill, Lulu Griffiths of Essex, and Effie Cilley of Colchester, VT.²
     He appeared on the census of 19 June 1880 at Milton, Chittenden Co, Vermont; Henry Patterson 57, b. Canada, Armina 48, born NY, Dora 15, Simeon 13, Effie 10, Lulu 8, Burt 5 and Levi, 2, all children born in Vermont. Henry was a farmer.³
