Hannah Taylor was born circa 1759; Hannah Taylor was a sister to Margaret Taylor who married Jacob Salls. She married Solomon Curtis, son of John Curtis and Deborah (?), in 1779 at Canaan, Columbia Co, New York; They were said to have married in the winter of 1779 or 1780 by Rev. Camp of Canaan. However, when this was to be verified years later, the extant clergy there said Rev. Camp must not have filed his records with the town of Canaan. This is of interest because it is likely that Jacob Salls and Margaret Taylor were married by the same man. Pension papers for Solomon Curtis have that George F. Salls stated he was born in Canaan and Solomon and Hannah were married at his father's house in Canaan. He says he remembered seeing Solomon bidding Hannah goodbye and heading out to join the army with a pack on his back.1 Hannah Taylor died on 28 May 1843 at Stockholm, St Lawrence Co, New York.1
