     William Kerr was born on 21 November 1827 at St Mungo Parish, Dumfriesshire, Scotland.1,2 He was the son of John Kerr and Mary Gowenlock. William Kerr married Margaret McRobbie on 24 February 1863.3 William Kerr died on 17 June 1908 at Wellington, Ontario, at age 80.4 He was buried at Crown Cemetery, Morriston, Wellington Co, Ontario.5
     William was said to have removed to Corwhin, Ontario.3
