     George Marshall Atkinson was born on 22 November 1824 at Leeds, Yorkshire, England.1 He married Hannah Shores, daughter of Thomas Shores and Elizabeth Pearson, on 30 March 1847 at St Marks Church, Woodhouse, Yorkshire, England; George was a painter of Meanwood Street and "Ann" was of Little London.2 George Marshall Atkinson died on 23 January 1885 at Nottinghamshire, England, at age 60.
