     Hoyt Edson Salls was born on 22 March 1853 at Clarenceville, Missisiquoi Co, Quebec.1 He was the son of Hiram Salls and Mary Caroline Beerwort. Hoyt Edson Salls married Carrie J. Rolean on 3 October 1877 at Burlington, Chittenden Co, Vermont.2 Hoyt Edson Salls married Margaret Catherine Hayes Labounty on 30 January 1923 at Burlington, Chittenden Co, Vermont.3 Hoyt Edson Salls died on 30 January 1931 at Mary Fletcher Hospital, Burlington, Chittenden Co, Vermont, at age 77.1 He was buried at Lakeview Cemetery, Burlington, Chittenden Co, Vermont.4
