James Parker Hendrick

     James Parker Hendrick was born on 15 July 1819 at Enosburg, Franklin Co, Vermont.² He married Mary A. Salls, daughter of Isaac Salls and Elizabeth Crawford, on 23 March 1841 at Franklin, Franklin Co, Vermont.¹ James Parker Hendrick married Elizabeth A. Gates on 12 October 1885 at Enosburg, Franklin Co, Vermont.³ James Parker Hendrick died on 29 January 1893 at Enosburg, Franklin Co, Vermont, at age 73.² His estate was probated on 3 February 1893 at Franklin Co, Vermont; After all debts were paid, and the conditions of the Will met, the remaining estate came to over $13,000. This writer assumes that was turned over to his daughter, Elizabeth.⁴
     James P. Hendrick entered into an agreement with Eliza Gates on 30 Apr 1885 regarding their upcoming marriage. Ahter his death, she would receive what she brought to the marriage as well as $5000 from his estate.⁴ He left a will on 3 June 1887 at Franklin Co, Vermont; After leaving his wife, Elizabeth what she had before their marriage, he left the rest of his property to his daughter, Elizabeth Croft.
Through a Codicil to the Will, in 25 Jan 1893, he also left his daughter, Mrs, Sophronia Pratt $3000.⁴
