Martha Stranaghan was born on 29 October 1857 at County Down, Ireland. She was the daughter of Andrew Stranaghan and Agnes Cantley. Martha Stranaghan was baptized on 29 November 1857 at 1st Presbyterian Church, Rathfriland, County Down, Ireland. She married Matthew G. Ochiltree on 15 February 1898 at Ballynagappog Presbyterian, Clonduff, County Down, Ireland.
