     Joseph Strickland was born circa 1693 at Isle of Wight, Virginia.1 He was the son of Samuel Strickland Sr.1 Joseph Strickland married Ann Thornton circa 1711.1 Joseph Strickland died after 20 March 1746/47 at Edgecombe Co, North Carolina.1
