John Stone

     John Stone was born on 1 September 1887 at Manchester, Bennington Co, Vermont.¹ He was the son of Mary Jane Frost.¹ John Stone was buried in 1918 at Factory Point Cemetery, Manchester, Bennington Co, Vermont.² He died in 1918.²
     On 5 June 1917, When he registered for the draft, John lived and worked as "engineer (stationary)" at the State Sanitorium in Westfield. It was stated he supported his mother. He was of medium build, stout, and had grey eyes and black hair.¹ On 5 June 1917, John was 29, had gray eyes and black hair, and employed as an engineer (stationary) at the State Sanitorium in Westfield, MA. His mother was listed as a dependent.¹
