Elizabeth Maltravers was born circa 1384 at Lytchett Maltravers, Dorset, England. She was the daughter of John Maltravers and Elizabeth Aumarle. Elizabeth Maltravers married Humphrey Stafford, son of Humphrey Stafford, before 1397; Humphrey had been knighted in 1397 and he had married sometime before that. As newly-weds, they received the manor of Perton, Staffordshire, where they lived until 1413.1 Elizabeth Maltravers died after 1428 at Dorset, England.
