David Derick was born on 16 November 1819 at Caldwell's Manor, Missisquoi Co., Quebec. He was the son of Henrich Derick and Anna Maria Young. David Derick was baptized on 2 July 1820 at Caldwell's Manor, Missisquoi Co, Quebec. He married Lydia Rowe on 11 March 1844 at Caldwell's Manor, Missisquoi Co, Quebec. David Derick died on 7 October 1859 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec, at age 39. He was buried on 9 October 1859 at St George's Anglican Cemetery, Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.
