Sarah A. Humphrey

     Sarah A. Humphrey was born in 1848 at New York.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Humphrey and Sila Kibbe Hill. Sarah A. Humphrey married Washington Tryon, son of William Tryon Jr. and Lucinda Slosson, on 15 September 1875 at Franklin Co, New York.² Sarah A. Humphrey died on 21 September 1928 at Moira, Franklin Co, New York; Mrs. Sarah Tryon, 8, widow of the late Washington Tryon, died at her home in Moira last Friday morning after a long illness, during which she was tenderly cared for by her daughter, Miss Cora. The funeral was held at the Moira M.E. church Sunday afternoon, her pastor, Rev. U.B. Grant, officiating. Burial in the Moira Cemetery."³ She was buried on 23 September 1928 at Moira Cemetery, Moira, Franklin Co, New York.^3,1
     She appeared on the census of 21 January 1920 at East Main Street, Moira, Franklin Co, New York; Sarah A. Tryon, 71, daughter, Cora, 42 and Betheda Stowe, 73, her sister-in-law.⁴
