Samuel A. Sheller was born on 14 February 1841 at Henryville, Iberville Co, Quebec. He was the son of Samuel Sheller and Jane Tryon. Samuel A. Sheller was baptized on 20 January 1851 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1 He married Annah M. Stevens. Samuel A. Sheller died on 12 March 1914 at age 73. He was buried at Dorset, Bennington Co, Vermont.
He appeared on the census of 28 July 1870 at Shaftsbury, Bennington Co, Vermont; Samuel, 29, Anna, 22, along with Jennie 2, and Samuel 1. The enumeration shows all born Vermont.2 He and Annah M. Stevens appeared on the census of 1880 at Peru, Bennington Co, Vermont; Samuel Sheller, 39, Annie, 31, Jane, 12, Samuel, 10, Maud, 8, Charles, 6, Emma, 3, and Martha, 8 mos. Living with them was his brother Daniel Sheller, 43, "other" Joseph Sheller, 28, and "other" Daniel Longeway, 33.3
