Francis French was born circa 1624 at England.1,2 He was the son of William French and Elizabeth (?) Francis French married Lydia Bunnell, daughter of William Bunnell and Ann Wilmot, on 10 April 1661 at Milford, New Haven Co, Connecticut.2 Francis French died on 14 February 1691 at Derby, New Haven Co, Connecticut.2
Francis French arrived in America along with his father and three siblings in 1635 aboard the "Defence". About 1650 he left Massachusetts for Milford, Connecticut and four years later was among the first to settle Derby, Connecticut.2
