Philip Young

     Philip Young married Mary Rachel Wood, daughter of Isaac Wood.¹ Philip Young was born on 5 June 1845 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.² He was the son of William Stewart Young and Lydia Patterson. Philip Young was baptized on 1 March 1846 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.³ He died on 20 September 1917 at Burke, Franklin Co, New York, at age 72; The Chateaugay Record, Sept 1917: "Philip Young died at the home of Morris where he was visiting from Ossawatamie, Kansas, where he lived with his son, the only surviving member of of his immediate family. He left Burke and moved East then later to Kansas. Three sisters survive: Mrs. Enoch Hill, of Thetford, VT; Mrs. M.M. McKeene of Hermon, NY; Mrs. Arthur Downes of Russell, NY; and four brothers: Morris of Burke; Ira of Thetford, VT; William of Henniker, NH; and Isaac of Bennington, VT."
     He appeared on the census of 1910 in the household of Forrest P. Young at Kansas City, Jackson Co, Missouri; Forrest Young, 38, wife Mary L., 43, Viola M., 5 and father, Philip, 64.⁴
