     Ira Nelson Young was born on 8 February 1856 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1 He was the son of William Stewart Young and Lydia Patterson. Ira Nelson Young married Barbara Wiley Carr, daughter of Joseph Carr and Mary French.2 Ira Nelson Young died on 16 April 1946 at Groton, Caledonia Co, Vermont, at age 90.1 He was buried on 18 April 1946 at N. Thetford, Orange Co, Vermont.
     He appeared on the census of 13 June 1900 at Burke, Franklin Co, New York; Ira Young, 44, Barbara, 42, Cora, 15, Harold, 14, Leon, 12, Minnie, 10, Robert, 9.3 He appeared on the census of 25 April 1910 at Thetford, Orange Co, Vermont; Ira N. Young, 57, Barbara W., 52, married 28 years having 10 children, all living, along with Harold C., 24, Leon F., 22, Mina I., 20, Robert J., 18, Barbara J., 16, Hazel F., 14, Beatrice B., 12, and Ida V., 9, all children born NY.4
