Theophilus Mansfield

     Theophilus Mansfield was born on 27 August 1776 at Tyringham, Berkshire Co, Massachusetts. He married Jane Scott, daughter of Walter Scott and Mary (?), circa 1802 at Vermont. Theophilus Mansfield married Abigail Torrey after 14 May 1818. Theophilus Mansfield married Eunice Miller on 1 January 1838 at Franklin, Franklin Co, Vermont. Theophilus Mansfield died on 24 March 1865 at Enosburg, Franklin Co, Vermont, at age 88; The death by paralysis of Theophilis Mansfield, Esq., at Enosburgh March 24, 1865, the oldest member of the Franklin County Bar is announced. He was a native of Tyringham, Berkshire County, Mass. - having been born there, August 27, 1776. When a boy, he came from Massachusetts to Milton where his father built the first mill in that town.¹ He was buried at South Franklin Cemetery, South Franklin, Franklin Co, Vermont.²
